The Interface for Autonomous Engineering

Changelog v0.1.3: The Interface for Autonomous Engineering

If we are going to replace your local development environment, we have to build an interface that you actually want to stare at for 10 hours a day.

Most AI code generators treat the UI as an afterthought—a generic chat window slapped next to a raw text editor. We knew from day one that if Gor://a is an autonomous Web IDE, the environment needs to feel like a high-performance command center, not a chatbot.

What we shipped in v0.1.3

  • The Gorilla Dark Workspace: We engineered a custom design system built around our signature #050814 deep black and electric blue accents. It features heavy use of glassmorphism, 1px subtle borders, and a high-contrast bento-box layout to reduce eye strain.

  • The "Tri-Pane" Architecture: We ditched the standard chat UI. Your Gor://a dashboard is now split into three synchronized panes:

    • Left: The Agent Hub (where you prompt, chat, and see the ReAct loop's architectural blueprint).

    • Center: The Live Editor (a Monaco-powered code editor where you can manually tweak the AI's generated AST code).

    • Right: The Live Preview & Terminal (rendering the application in real-time as the AI writes it).

  • Infinite Canvas Dashboard: Managing multiple AI-generated microservices? Your main project dashboard now operates as a spatial canvas. You can group projects, monitor deployment statuses, and spin up new environments with a single click.

The Philosophy

An IDE should get out of your way. The UI must be invisible when you are thinking, and instantly accessible when you are executing. We stripped out every unnecessary button and replaced them with a global command palette (Cmd + K) so you can navigate entirely via keyboard.
